Hi guys,
my first post.
I have a MySondy Go TTGO LORA32 T3_V1.6.1 20210104 running firmware v2.30 that I wanted to update to the latest v3.0, finding the following.
By using flash_download_tool_3.8.7.exe provided with the firmware 3.0 package, after clicking on start, I obtain:
error 5-chip efuse check fail, Tips: Please confirm whether the chip type to be downloaded is correct and whether it is the official chip of espressif.
In the terminal window I also noticed several warnings, please see below for a full report.

and by Windows the aforementioned warning:

By trying with the same firmware v2.30 already present I obtain the same messages, and also with firmware v2.40, I wonder why.
However my solution was to update my MySondy GO using flash_download_tool_3.9.3.exe and in this way I managed to achieve the goal and the full report is what follows that it doesn't contain warings:

Despite baud rate 57600 is recommended, I succeeded with 115200 baud, but it would be better to stick to the prescription of 57600 baud.
So if someone else experiences the same problem can try my solution that I can't be sure is perfect: possibly the developers or someone else more experienced than me will be able to clarify the matter.
My OS is Windows 10 Home 64 bit.
Thanks.

Hi,
did you try to flash the firmware 3.0 directly from App MySondy GO 3.4?
I will update the package with the latest version of Esptool, thanks!

Hi IZ4PNN,
thank you for your kind reply.
I'm sorry for the late answer, I have recently been pretty busy.
No, I didn't try to flash firmware 3.0 directly from app MySondy GO 3.4, mainly because I don't have OTG cable and secondly because with the new app MySondy GO 3.4 I can't connect anymore to my MySondy FW v3.0 through Bluetooth: Bluetooth on my MID Android 8.1 correctly match my MySondy GO FW v3.0, but app MySondy GO 3.4 doesn't connect it.
About app MySondy GO, where can I find previous versions to try to use them for diagnostic purposes?
Thanks in advance.

Some news about my issue.
Actually flash_download_tool_3.8.7.exe too works, but only by setting baud rate to 115200, don't with the prescripted 57600 baud and also flash_download_tool_3.9.3.exe doesn't works by setting baud rate to 57600 baud, though it works fine by using 115200 baud.
Something is weird here.
However I did revert to previous firmware 2.30 and still app MySondy GO 3.4 doesn't connect my MySondy GO FW v2.30 through Bluetooth...
Thanks.

You probably have some cable issues... theoretically it should flash well at both 57600 and 115200.
Esptool uses 115200 by default and also the flash via App uses 115200.
The previous version can be easily found on the internet:
https://apkpure.com/it/mysondy-go/org.m ... wnload/2.7
Remember that the App v2.X works with firmware 2.X and the App 3.X works with firmware 3.X
The 3.X BLE connection is compatibile with Iphone also (IOS App under development) and it is very stable.

Hi IZ4PNN,
thanks alot for your kind reply.
About USB cable, maybe it's so, but in my opinion it would be more likely some problem with my Windows 10 Home computer, rather than with the USB cable, because I tried several cables with the same result and because the same cables that I used, I use them with other devices without problems.
About previous version of app MySondy GO, me too I found something, for example this:
https://mysondy-go.en.aptoide.com/versions
but sadly, by comparing the listed files, actually it is a single one renamed from time to time, leaving out the security side of the thing.
However now the problem isn't like being able to rewrite the firmware on the device, but rather how to be able to communicate with my MySondy Go through my Mid Android 8.1.
Am I wrong or it's possible to manage MySondy GO by through USB? (viewtopic.php?t=13)
If the answer is yes, how?, what are the correct commands to use?
Thank you in advance.

Latest news.
I did revert to firmware 2.30 and MySondy GO v2.30 and now everything works fine.
About the connection problems between app MySondy GO v3.4 and MySondy GO firmware v3.0 I wrote of, is it me, or in MySondy GO v3.4 the connection button is missing? Maybe my MID Android 8.1 light (Android GO 8.1) doesn't manage MySondy GO v3.4...
Thanks.
