I use the app on a Lenovo Tab M10 plus 3rd gen tablet with Android 12 with good result.

the experience of several people, who are unable to use Mysondy Go on phones above Android v6, but there may be exceptions

Seems like the rule is that it works. Android 10 and 7 here with no problem at all. There may be exceptions...

Wished I could say the same for my Samsung Galaxy S10 running Android 12. Can’t get the app and TTGO to connect via Bluetooth no matter what I do. :-(

Did you try to pair the phone and the TTGO? It should not be necessary in theory, but it may help.
