Testing TTGO or T-BEAM

Post by n4fv »

I have a new T-BEAM loaded with latest version. The RX on it does not seem to be working. I was unable to track a DFM09 that was less than 20 miles away a couple days ago with it. My TTGO was able to see it. Using a service monitor and generating a signal on 403 mhz, I do not see any spikes on the spectrum display. Should the spectrum display show a spike for a signal present or does it require modulation to decode and show one?

My TTGO board shows a spike on 403. This one picks up noise when I attach the antenna but no spike.

why use a T-BEAM with mysondy GO?, it is not really useful since you use a Phone for monitoring probes, a simple TTGO does the job very well with an android phone, use your T- instead beam with the RDZ software which will be perfectly operational with this software.
